Spokes aims to promote cycling in South West Hertfordshire.

* Spokes is independent.
* Spokes is affiliated to the Cyclists' Touring Club (CTC) and The Cycle Campaign Network (CCN).
* Spokes is self-funding and supports itself largely through members' subscriptions and through some commercial ventures.
* Regular rides and events organised.
* Quarterly newsletter published, available in local libraries and bike shops.

Membership (as at July 2007) is £8.00 for the first family member, plus £1.00 for each additional family member living at the same address. (Membership runs for 12 months from date of joining).
