Hertfordshire Wheelers

This club meets on Thursday at 8.00pm at the St Margaretsbury Sports and Social Club (close to St Margarets train station). The meeting places for club runs include Hertford, Ware, Stanstead Abbotts, Sawbridgeworth and Buntingford.

All cycling activities are catered for, especially time trailling and leisure cycling. The club aims to promote safe and sporting cycling for all ages. it caters for people from the age of 13, with the oldest member curently being over 70.

Invitation rides take place on the first Sunday afternoon of each month from April to october from Ware, approx 25 miles at an easy pace through quiet lanes with tea halfway. All new cyclists welcome; under 14's must be accompanied by a responsible adults. The club has an evening time trial series in the summer months and promotes one open time trial and open road race each year.

Scubcriptions: £20.00 adult, £12.50 junior (under 18), £8.50 juvenile (under16).

The club provides racing and touring clothing in club colours at subsidised prices. Members come from all over Hertfordshire, but particularly the Lee Valley between Hertford and Waltham Cross.

Publications: Annual magazine The Mudgardian; monthly newsletter Mud Flap.

The club is affiliated to BCF, RTTC, CTC, ERRL, North Middlesex and Herts CA, Norland Combine and ECCA.
