The club was formed, in 1878, for the purpose of playing cricket. Their aim is to promote cricket in the local area for all ages.

They run 2 Elevens on Saturday and Sunday and participate in the Herts Cricket League, on Saturdays. Practice sessions are run on Tuesday evenings during the season.

The Clubhouse is open on Tuesday evenings and weekends during the season. It is available for private hire and suitable for parties of not more then 60 people. Weekends are not available for hire during the summer months.

The cricket ground is on Aldenham Road, next to Elstee Tennis Club.
