To date, the Society has trained candidates (male or female) in cricket umpiring and scoring up to the examination standard required by the internationally recognised Association of Cricket Umpires and Scorers (ACU&S). The ACU&S has now been subsumed into the ECB Association of Cricket Officials, whose training courses and examinations will replace those of the ACU&S in due course.
Training courses, conducted by qualified personnel, are held in various locations within the county during the winter months. Further information may be obtained from the Training Officer.
The Society also makes appointments for its members to friendly, League and representative matches within the county.
Affiliated organisations: Herts County Cricket Association, ECB Association of Cricket Officials.
