Stevenage Cricket Club caters for all cricketing abilities and ages. The Saturday 1st XI competes in division Two East of the Home Counties Premier Cricket League. There are five other Saturday teams which compete in the Saracens Hertfordshire Cricket League. On Sundays there are two sides which compete in a combination of friendly fixtures as well as regional and local league competitions.
The Club also hopes to field a women’s team competing in friendly fixtures.
The Club runs a total of 11 colt teams. There are nine boy’s teams from U11 and U13 level.
The aims of the club are to foster the playing and enjoyment of cricket in Stevenage and the neighbourhood and to provide associated social facilities.
New playing members are always welcome and the club is always grateful to anyone able to provide assistance with coaching, umpiring, scoring, catering or sponsorship.
Day/time of meetings:
* Summer:
- matches for adults take place on Saturday and Sundays;
- matches for colts take place on weekday evenings and Sundays;
- outdoor adult net practice on Tuesdays 6.00pm-8.00pm;
- U9s-U13s Colts practice on Sundays 10.00am-12.00pm;
- U14s & U15s Colts practice on Mondays 6.30pm-8.00pm.
* Winter (at Shephall Leisure Centre):
- adults take place on Saturday 10.00am-11.30am;
- colts (all ages) take place on Fridays 5.00pm-9.00pm.
