* Venue for classes:
Batford Methodist Church Hall, Lower Luton Road, Harpenden, Herts AL5 1EQ.
* Class times:
Tuesday from 7.00pm to 8.30pm.
* Costs:
First lesson £3.00; therafter £4.00 per lesson. Special beginners offer £12.00 for first four lessons; Students will need to apply for a JKA Licence £20.00 p.a. after 4 weeks' training.
Harpenden JKA is affiliated to the Japan Karate Association with qualified instructors with enhanced CRB status and full insurance.
Classes are strictly tailored to the needs and experience of students. Regular gradings are held to help students improve their technique, adhering to a syllabus set by the JKA to advance to black belt and beyond.
Training is vigorous and disciplined to perfect technique. Beginners are welcome. Beginners should wear loose fitting clothing such as t shirt and tracksuit bottoms for the first few lessons, after which they are encouraged to purchase a white karate suit.
