St Albans and District Bowling Association has 16 member clubs, all located within a 15 miles radius of the town centre. Matches are played outdoors from April till September and indoors at all other times.

The aims of the Association are:

* To encourage and promote interest in the game of Lawn Bowls in the St Albans and District area.

* To promote Club and Championship competitions between affiliated clubs.

* To arrange matches between the Association and other Associations, Clubs or Groups.
