Hitchin Town Bowls Club

* Meeting times (bowls greens are open for bowling from 1st May to 30th September, annually):
For members of the public who wish to just come to the green and try out the game or practice their bowling skills, bowling greens are opened (weather permitting & given there is demand) with sessions weekday afternoons from 2.30pm till 5.00pm & weekday evenings from 6.00pm till 8.30pm or dusk. Weekends and Bank holidays the sessions are 2.30pm till 5.00pm only.

The Bowling Greens in Bancroft Gardens are administered by Hitchin Town Bowls Club on behalf of North Herts District Council and the Bowls Club is responsible for, maintenance of Hitchin bowling greens, the booking of Hitchin bowling greens and the collection of fees for bowling on Hitchin’s bowling greens.

*Costs (as at 25/11/2008):
Membership currently £50, half price to new bowlers, free to under 18's.
