The aims of GBWBA are:

* To administer and run national leagues, national teams, mens, womens, and juniors;
* To organise and run National Junior Championships;
* To be the sole governing body of the sport of wheelchair basketball throughout Great Britain;
* To develop and support clubs, coaches and junior teams;
* Produce and market GBWBA Leaders Award
