Swifts Junior Badminton Club (Hatfield)

Swifts is a badminton club specialising in juniors between the ages of seven and eighteen years. It is open to players of all standards and is split into four playing sessions. There are now sessions for players under 7 years of age.

Swifts aims to provide a competitive yet friendly and secure environment in which progression within each session and promotion to higher sessions is encouraged based on playing ability and game results.

Swifts provides basic training for beginners and coaching of different forms in all sessions. Specialist coaching is provided for players of high potential to enable them to compete successfully at County and higher level.

Swifts also has room for a limited number of adults to play in with the older juniors after 9.00pm on Fridays.

Venue: Hatfield Leisure Centre, Travellers Lane, Hatfield, Herts AL10 8TJ.

Club Play and coaching:
* Fridays -
- 4.00pm-5.00pm Beginners 7 years old or under;
- 5.00pm-6.00pm Beginners;
- 6.00pm-7.00pm Improvers;
- 7.00pm-8.00pm Players;
- 8.00pm-10.00pm Older and Elite Players.

Costs (2007/8):
£48 to £60 per term depending on the length of sessions.
