Tring Hockey Club nestles in the Chiltern Hills on the edge of the market town of Tring, on the Hertfordshire/Buckinghamshire border. The clubhouse is situated at Tring Park Cricket Club, off London Road, Tring and their training and home matches are played at the Astro pitch just a few minutes away at Tring School/Sports Centre.
They have four Men's teams that compete in the MBBO League, three Ladies teams that play in the Five Counties League, and a veterans and Super veterans team that both play in the London League. They also play summer mixed hockey and enter all National and Regional Cup competitions. In 1999, their Men's first team won the inaugural National Vase competition at the National Hockey Stadium in Milton Keynes.
Aside from club training on Wednesday nights, the men's and ladies' first XI squads train on Thursday nights. There is also a lot of commitment to the junior department, with Colts and Junior sessions run on Sunday mornings.
The clubhouse offers a friendly atmosphere for all ages, and is open evenings and weekends. There are excellent facilities which include a fully licensed bar, Sky TV and pool table, plus there is a freshly cooked food available at weekends. There are a variety of social events held throughout the year and the club can cater for private functions as well.
They welcome new members, both playing and social, at any time during the year.
