St Albans Judo Club is a non-profit making club founded nearly 60 years ago to provide judo tuition. Qualified instructors teach in purpose-built premises (Dojo, Heathlands Drive, St Albans, AL3 5AY) each evening (Monday-Friday) between the hours of 6.30pm to 10.00pm. Classes are grouped as follows:
* 'Primaries' (5 to 10 years);
* 'Juniors' (10 to 15 years);
* 'Seniors' (16 years +).
In addition, events are held over many weekends.
The club is a member of the British Judo Council.
Classes are held for players of all abilities, beginners are welcome. Anyone of reasonable fitness, no matter how old, can practice judo, and lack of sight or hearing is not a barrier to learning judo.
A leaflet is available.
The club gives judo demonstrations for local schools and organisations who would like a free display at their events.
If you would like to join or watch a judo session please telephone first.
