The V & E (Cheshunt) Judokwai was formed in 1969 by Mr Alan Farrary and has the luxury of a large fitted mat in one of the few purpose built Judo halls in the county. The club is affilated to the British Judo Association which is the only Judo body recognised by the British Sports Council.
Judo training is an ideal form of physical exercise and it serves as a great cardiovascular workout, which improves stamina, general health and overall fitness. Judo is great for juniors as the session is taught in a fun and exciting way, using games and exercises to develop many skills including balance, co-ordination and self-discipline.
Beginners are always welcome just go along to one of their sessions and watch or pay £4.00 visitor fee and try it out. (Under 18 year olds must be supervised by an adult).
