Storytelling Through Dance - It has been aptly said that Bharat (South Indian Dance) is a symbol of beauty and aesthetic perfection. As a philosophy, it is a search of human soul for ideal. As a science, it is to attain the perfection of body technique and corporal movement and as poetry; it is the symbol of rythmic lyricism.
This unique performance demonstrates the story telling ability of Indian classical dance to complement the free expressive nature of contemporary dance to give you a glimpse of the spiritual realm. It is also an ancient form of yoga realising one'e devotional nature and desire. The dancers have trained in England and Yamuna devi, one of the lead artists, at the Northern School of Contemporary dance in Leeds. They have toured across India, Africa, Europe and the UK.
