The Mothers Union meets on the last Tuesday of each month (August outing) from 2.30pm-4.00pm in Holy Trinity Church Hall, South Street, Bishops Stortford.
The Mothers Union caters for a wide age range from 20 years upwards. They have a member who was 100 in September 2002 and another that was 100 on 1st August 2005. The Union has an active and varied monthly programme of events including speakers, parties, outing, and links visiting with other churches. They have a continue link with a branch of Mothers' Union in Sri Lanka for the past 30 years. Also a correspondance link with a branch in Bradford.
The aims of the Mothers Union include working to uphold marriage and family life and to help those who have separated or whose family life has broken down.
Mothers Union membership is open to both men and women who have been baptised and who support the aims. There is a nominal membership fee. They have over 3000 members in 70 countries.
Their aim is to maintain a worldwide followship of Christian united in prayer, worship and service.
