Grooms Shaftesbury Society
In January 2007, John Grooms and the Shaftesbury Society took the historic decision to merge and create a new charity. At our heart is a vision of working with people and communities affected by poverty and disability, helping them to maximise their potential. The new organisation started its work in July 2007.
Both John Grooms and Shaftesbury are totally committed to the people with whom we work. We both share this passion and put it at the forefront of all we do. We believe that our merger will have a positive impact on the disabled adults, young people with special educational needs and deprived communities that we work alongside.
