This is the Church of England Parish Church of London Colney, located in Riverside. Adjacent to the Church is the Parish Centre, used for church functions but also available for hire for parties, receptions, and business training days. Contact John Webb, Bookings Secretary.
Sunday services:
8am: Holy Communion (Said Service).
10am: Parish Eucharist with hymns and other music (with creche available and Children's Church).
All the 10am services are followed by refreshments in the Parish Centre.
Wednesday services:
10am: Said Communion Service (subject to availability of clergy).
12 noon on alternate Wednesdays, term-time only: Under-5s service, followed by an optional picnic lunch in the Parish Centre.
The services for a whole month are found in the church magazine The Rock, copies of which are available from the Church Foyer. The Rock is published ten times a year.
Study Group meets on alternate Wednesday mornings at 10.45am in the Parish Lounge (a small meeting-room in the Parish Centre); occasional other study courses are also run.
The regular social and fund-raising events are a Summer Fair, usually held in June or July; and a Christmas Fair in November or early December.
The Churchyard cannot take any more burials, but ashes may still be interred.
This parish is in the Diocese of St Albans, and is in the Deanery of Aldenham (a group of 14 parishes in Hertsmere Borough and St Albans District).
Directions: Riverside is at the south end of the High Street (on the east side), north of the bridge over the River Colne. There is a large Parish Council carpark adjacent to the church and Parish Centre. From the London Colney roundabout on the A414, follow signs for London Colney into the High Street; after the shops and at the bottom of a short hill where the road narrows, turn left before the river bridge. From Junction 22 of the M25, follow signs into London Colney. Immediately after crossing over the River Colne, turn right with care into Riverside.
