For successful students there is a three week induction/assessment period. If accepted and the new student wishes to continue after this, a termly commitment is requested.

Starlight Theatre School is one of the most prestigious, independent, part-time Performing Arts Schools in Hertfordshire, teaching 8-18 year olds in Hitchin a wide range of performing arts skills to a professional level. Groups are split based on age and ability and rotate over the three hour sessions to incorporate all subjects (acting, singing and dancing) during technique terms. These techniques are put into practice with annual full-scale musical productions. Class sizes are strictly small (maximum: 15) ensuring individual attention to maximize the personal fulfilment and confidence required.

Starlight has a reputation for developing confidence, talent and discipline within a friendly, family-like atmosphere, where students are treated with respect, compassion and understanding, developing confidence and talent far beyond many students and parents’ initial expectations. The
audition techniques and skills taught have helped many students get agents or get into higher education performing arts courses, go on to perform professionally.

All tutors are trained professionals in the subjects they teach and are committed to guiding students towards achieving their maximum potential and fulfilling their dreams.

The Co-Principals work full-time to improve the school and the standards achieved – ensuring the best theatre training for their dedicated students.
