Meals on wheels (in Hertsmere Borough Council area)

Meals on wheels provides a quality meals service for vulnerable people unable to provide meals for themselves. Hertfordshire County Council provides a subsidised meals on wheels service to people who are eligible in Hertsmere through Hertfordshire Community Meals, a not-for-profit social enterprise.

A choice of hot or frozen, dietary, ethnic and cultural/religious requirements are catered for.

The cost for each meal is £3.25 (as of April 2008). The service covers the whole of the Hertsmere Borough and is available five days a week, with Quantum Care providing a weekend service.
