The Bushey District Day Centre is a voluntary organisation (BDDC) and aims to provide a warm welcome in a relaxed environment where elderly people can meet together and gain both comfort and friendship.
The Centre can take up to 30 people (10 referrals by social services and 20 by BDDC) per day and can cater for a wide range of disabilities. Transport provided by Hertfordshire County Council, and is designed to take people with physical disability and wheelchairs.
Bushey Day Centre is partially funded by Hertfordshire County Council Adult Care Services, to provide Day Centre facilities for the elderly people of Bushey.
A small charge is made for daily attandance at the Day Centre. This includes transport, lunch and a range of activities.
Referrals should be from GPs or Social Services although self-referrals will be considered.
