This is an independent day centre run by a management committee on behalf of Hatfield and District Age Concern.
It offers companionship, lunches and a variety of activities in attractive and friendly surroundings. It has good facilities for the less able, with wheelchair access to all parts of the building. If you find it difficult or impossible to use public transport, please enquire about the transport to the centre which is available every weekday.
Tea and coffee are available from 10.00am. Bookings for lunch should be made by 11.00am.
A leisure room is open with billiards and snooker, carpet bowls, and table games which are free between 9.00am and 12.30pm. The bowls club meets on Wednesdays at 2.00pm. There is also a fund-raising shop which offers clothes, household items, cards, etc.
The hairdresser is present every day. A walk-in bath is available for use by anyone who finds bathing alone at home a challenge, there is a small charge.
Bingo on Tuesday 1.30pm-2.30pm. Various outings and social events are organised by the Social Committee.
