Out and About is a service based on each individual service user providing support so the person can access the community, support with independent living and retention of daily living skills. We also provide an alternative to daycare on a one to one basis and holidays. The service is planned around each individual and is very diverse in activities.
Examples of the support we give; attend groups and clubs, access and play sport, support with the transition from independent living to sheltered housing, social activities, daycare activities and therapeutic work, travel training, respite hours for families, activities within the home e.g. arts and crafts.
The service is for adults of any age with learning disabilities, mental health difficulties, and the elderly. Our aim is to provide individual support based on each persons needs maintaining independence and putting the person and their choices at the center of the service they receive.
