This is a free, confidential service for older people, their carers and relatives.

The Outreach Advice Service can offer:

  • Someone to listen and help clarify the situation
  • Practical assistance to secure rights and access to services
  • Help explore options and make choices, for example:
  • We can assist with completing claims forms for benefits; communicate with statutory bodies on your behalf; complain on your behalf about poor goods and/or services; arrange personal support/representation at meetings or tribunals
This is a countywide service incorporating Advocacy in Care Homes, which offers support to older people living in care homes, to ensure that their wishes and care needs are taken into consideration.

Home visits can be arranged. Please contact your nearest Advocacy co-ordinator (telephone numbers are listed above).
