Age Concern Dacorum. Ethnic Day Care Centre (Hemel Hempstead)

Day centre organised by Age Concern Dacorum.

Meeting times: Tuesdays from 10.30am to 3.00pm.

Fresh cooked vegetarian meals cooked by a professional cook and helper. Visitors arrive by 11.00am via community wheels. When they arrive they start by praying to Rama to give thanks for the meal. All help with the washing up and general tidying. The group sits and chats, has a singsong, sometimes have speakers, or occasionally go on outings to temples in London or Luton or go shopping.

Pat can give advice on benefits, can be used as an interpreter and if needed refer people to social services.

Both Gujarati and Urdu are spoken at the club.
