For details of Citizens Advice Bureaux in Hertfordshire please follow the link under Also on Hertsdirect.
Citizens Advice Bureaux deliver confidential and impartial advice and information from over 3200 outlets across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, as well as by telephone, email, the Adviceguide website and through the media. Advice covers everything from benefits and employment rights to housing, consumer and legal matters. Advice is free and Bureaux are open to everybody regardless of race, gender, disability, sexuality or nationality.
Each Citizens Advice Bureau is an independent registered charity, run by paid staff and volunteers. They are financed, in the main, by grants from their local authorities. Each CAB is a member of Citizens Advice which sets standards for advice and equal opportunities, provides support to bureaux, training for each CAB adviser and produces the information system which is regularly updated and in every bureau.
Citizens Advice monitors the problems that CAB clients are experiencing and reports these findings to the appropriate local and central government bodies and other organisations and individuals.
