If you have a problem and need support to speak up for yourself, or someone to speak up for you, then advocacy services can help.
Advocacy services are run by independent organisations, not by the county council. Advocates will discuss your concerns with you, help you understand what others are saying, inform you of your rights, attend meetings with you and liaise with other agencies on your behalf.
Advocates are not there to tell you what to do or to make decisions for you, but to help you express your views and make your own decisions.
