The group has a special interest in the natural history of the Bishop's Stortford area, The Stort Valley and Hatfield Forest. There is a thriving Bird Group and strong links with other wildlife groups including the Herts Moth Group and Herts and Middx Badger Group.
Winter meetings are held at the Meeting Room in the Office Block at Hatfield Forest at 8.00pm. There is a wildlife group called 'Forest Nature' which is dedicated to carrying out studies on the Forest including bats, deer, wild flowers, and freshwater life.
Talks cover a wide range of natural history topics. There are occasional workshop evenings.
There is a programme of summer meetings including visits, surveys and practical activities.
The group is for all ages, and visitors are welcome.
