Harrow and Watford Outdoor Group

Summary This group is also known as: Harrow and Wembley Youth Hostels Association Local Group

The group's aim is to get 20 to 45 year-olds to go outdoors. There are over 120 members.

We hold 3 evening social meetings per month at Our Lady and St Thomas's Church Hall, Page Centre, 22 Roxborough Park, Harrow on the Hill, HA1 (5 minutes walk from Met station) from 8:30-10pm.

At weekends, members take their turn to organise events such as hill walking in the Chilterns, mountain biking in Wales, rock climbing in Surrey, canoeing on the River Wye, sailing in Poole Harbour, conservation volunteering in Stanmore, horse riding in Cumbria or caving in Somerset. The events programme on the website is updated daily. In 2006, we arranged 22 weekends away. Info about forthcming events is sent to members by Yahoo Group hawog-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

Everyone new to the group gets 2 months FREE no obligation. Annual membership is £30, or £15 if you don't attend social events. It is just £5 if you are under-26.
