Causeway Womens Institute, The

Venue: St Stephen Church Hall, Watling Street, St Albans.
Times: 2nd Thursday in every month 10.00am-12.00pm.
Costs: visitors £2.00 per meeting, membership £27.00pa.

Their monthly meetings aim to provide companionship for women with a speaker covering a great variety of subjects. Most months they hold their own arts and craft class in a member's home, also a social morning when members bring their own work.

They also have the opportunity to join other WIs on outings, take part in sports and rambles and enjoy social events.

Denman College, their own residental WI College teaches a very wide variety of subjects to all members.

WIs form a strong pressure group on governments to legislate on matters of concern to members and their families.
