London Colney Leisure Centre, Pelham Way, London Colney.
* Day/Time of meetings:
Thursdays from 10.00am to 2.00pm.
The cost per day is £3.00. Tea and biscuits are provided on arrival; there is a cooked two course meal, and tea and biscuits in the afternoon.
Accessibility: The venue is suitable for wheelchairs and has a toilet suitable for wheelchair users.
Weekly voluntary day care provision for the elderly people of the village. Social Services provide an ambulance and driver to collect and return people to and from home.
The number of people who can attend is restricted in part by the capacity of the ambulance and number of volunteers. Fundraising activities include raffles and tombolas, and this money helps to pay for outings, Christmas lunch and cream teas.
A card and small gift are given for birthdays and at the Christmas party.
