Formed in 1977, the "26" Club is for retired gentlemen that meet on alternate Thursday mornings throughout the year at The Letchworth Adult Educational Settlement, Nevells Road, Letchworth Garden City, for talks, by both internal and guest speakers, on subjects of general/public interest. The range of recent topics includes:- Member's autobiographies, Local Government issues, Reminiscent of trips (both leisure and business) to all parts of the world, Medical subjects, Local Arts & Leisure clubs, Nature and Life in various professions including Driving Instructors, Retail Trade, Fire and Safety, Nursing and Motorway Construction.
The Club also holds four lunches per year, to three of which the wives of members, both past and present, are welcome.
