* Venue for meetings:
Carey Baptist Church Hall, Marlowes, Hemel Hempstead.
* Meeting times:
Monday from 10.00am to 3.00pm.
* Costs:
£7.00 per day including transport if needed and meal and refreshments.
Provides a day club for elderly mentally frail people, who are able to manage their own personal needs, ie toilet, hand washing with help. The club provides recreational activities and stimulating talks, visits to various accessible places such as a garden centre, park, etc.
Carers can benefit from having several hours to do essential tasks, or just have a break from caring for a short time.
Referrals can come from GP, mental health service, Hertfordshire County Council. Adult Care Services, or the carers themselves.
Members must not be incontinent, nor need to have medication administered. The Club is pruely social and lively, with music and chat providing a focus for the days activities.
