Thorley Seniors Club

For people aged 50 plus.

Meetings take place on alternate Thursday afternoons at 1.45pm in the Thorley Community Centre, Friedberg Avenue (adjacent to the 'Harvest Moon').

The committee intends that the programme of events will inform, educate and entertain by promoting interactivity from both internal and external resources.

Activities include: talks by members and visiting speakers; a wide variety of quizzes; occasional bring and buy sales or auctions; music and verse. visits to places or events of general interest are arranged two or three times a year.

Posters advertising future events are normally on display at Thorley Community Centre and Sainsburys (Thorley).

Members pay a small annual subscription. The attendance fee, currently £1.20, also covers light refreshments and a raffle ticket.
Membership is not limited to Thorley residents; all visitors are welcome, from both adjacent communities and members' own guests. Some members have formed a small table-tennis section which plays every Monday 11.30am-12.30pm.
