The name of this social club derives from the Pilot Bar at the Comet Hotel on the A1 where a group of friends used to meet in its early days. That bar is no more but the club has grown into a friendly not-for-profit group of single over 40s who enjoy a good social life. Members enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of not being in a hurry to find a partner.

The monthly programme has a variety of events, suggested and hosted by members. Hosting an event earns a discount on the membership fee. Events range through pub meetings, theatre visits, holidays - almost anything that a member wants to do and will be more enjoyable with friends.

You can come along to 2 or 3 meetings before you join, so you have nothing to lose.
