Ware and District Photographic Society

The group meets on Wednesdays at 8.00pm at Ware Arts Centre, Kibes Lane, Ware. Weekly meetings are held from September to May.

This organisation allows members above 16 years of age with a common interest in photography to meet each other.

The current programme includes:
* Portrait and Practical evenings under the guidance of advanced workers.
* Illustrated Talks with an emphasis on photographic subjects.
* Outings by members to places of interest with a photographic theme in mind.
* Internal and external competitions - of which several are run during the year.
* Exhibitions are held during the year with one major event and other exhibitions at various venues and times.
* Competitions between clubs which are adjudicated by an independent judge.
* Instruction on specific aspects of photography can also be given on a more individual basis.
* Advice is always very much to hand.
* Companionship is a strong part of this club and this is reflected in:
* Social events which are solely devoted to socialising.
* Digital Imaging Workshops have been introduced.

Membership fees - Full Membership £30.00, Associateship £15.00, Junior and full-time students.

This society is affiliated to the East Anglian Federation of Photographic Societies and the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain.

Facilities: Ample parking space in Kibes Lane Car Park, which is free after 6.30pm. Facilities for people with disabilities.
