Edmonton Camera Club was established on 5th March 1945, to cater for those in the area with an interest in photography and is still serving the local community. Today the club is a place where like minded people with an interest in photography can meet together, share expertise, improve, have fun and enjoy their hobby. They welcome visitors to the club and pride themselves on their friendliness. You will be invited to make 4 trial visits to Edmonton Camera Club before subscriptions shall become due, so why not go along one evening? They aim to cater for the needs of all photographers through lectures, discussions, learning events, competitions, outings, exhibitions and studio events.
They meet each Monday from mid September to mid June (not bank holidays) from 7.45pm-10.00pm.
They meet in a ground floor room at Millfield House with one step up to gain access. Step down again then level access to the bar area. Disabled toilets and parking spaces are flat access, although the road approach is cobbled.
They are affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB) via the East Anglian Federation (EAF).
From new photographers starting their hobby, or picking it up again, through to those who have enjoyed making and taking images for many years, to those wanting to learn about digital using their 'Awards for All' equipment, the club offers something for everyone. Sharing advice tips and learning from each other as well as from visiting judges and lecturers is all part of club life.
