Sound Base Studio Trust (Hitchin)

Mixing and making music. Training for NVQ, music production, graphic design and video production. For, amongst others, unemployed, offenders and ex-offenders; Life skills and B.Line for under 16's.

Outreach service available to all other agencies across Hertfordshire.

Sound Base Studios Trust was established in Hemel Hempstead in 1997. It is a registered charity. All students, including people permanently excluded from school, are offered the opportunity to improve their basic skills. Students are assessed individually in order to find the right level for their needs; they can then work on reading, writing, maths or computer skills with one to one tuition.

Sound Base Studios Trust will aim to create and maintain a fair and just environment for all, where everyone, without discrimination because of race, ethnic origin, colour or gender from any background or culture, will be treated fairly in safe and supportive surroundings.

Their aim is to encourage students to express themselves through their cultural backgrounds and to be proactive in recruiting staff to fulfil particular students needs. People with disabilities are positively encouraged to take up positions within Sound Base Studios Trust as employees, students or volunteers.
