The orchestra is made up of amateur and professional musicians of all ages and is baased in Hertford but draws its members from a wide area. The orchestra aims to play challenging repertoire, while maintaining a balance of mainstream symphonic music. The orchestra has built up an impressive reputation in the local community, both for its three main concerts and for its exceptionally successful concerts for children and family concerts. The orchestra presents 6 concerts per year.
Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings at Mill Mead School, Port Vale, Hertford.
