The EEMF exists in the East Anglian area to promote interest in medieval, renaissance and baroque music, roughly of the time of Bach and before, to provide an information exchange, and to organise opportunities for members to participate in music-making, EEMF has informal links with other Early Fora throughout the country and is affiliated to the National Early Music Association.

A newsletter is published at least 3 times a year. This contains invitations to EEMF workshops, as well as members' letters and articles, reviews of events organised by this Forum and others, and occasional reviews of concerts, CDs and books. The newsletter also lists forthcoming Early Music events and courses in this region and more important and interesting ones around the country, and concerts by EEMF members.

The membership subscription is just £6.00, which covers the calendar year, January-December. New members are always welcome, and you can join by completing the form attached to their leaflet.
