Venue: The Meridian School, Garden Walk, Royston.

The Centre's aim is to provide opportunities for children to come together on Saturday mornings during school terms for ensemble playing, singing, theory and general musicianship, complementing the work done in schools and by instrumental teachers.

Children are welcome from school year 4 upwards, the age is from 8 to 18 years of age. Children are welcome from East Herts, Cambridgeshire and North Herts.

Groups include String Orchestra. Woodwind Ensemble, Brass Ensemble, Percussion Group, Recorder Group, Wind Ensemble, Beginner Band and Choir.

Guitar ensemble - Junior strings.

Details of activities and fees are in the prospectus, which is available from Stevenage Music and Arts Centre.

On Thursday evenings Royston Youth Choir and Royston Junior Choir meets at Roysia Middle School. Children from year 7 upwards are encouraged to join.
