The junior choir is a fun afternoon music programme where kids can learn how to sing as well as learn important skills like sight singing, ear training and music theory. Music will be learned for traditional liturgical services as well as special events and concerts. Christian education will be taught as well as musical training. We are a member of Sing UP! and will be using the Royal School of Church Music curriculum Voice for Life.
The choir will be directed by singing teacher Mrs Adria Jackson who has taught private vocal lessons for 9 years and was the choir director for St Paul's Lutheran church in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. She has worked for many years with children and music in church and other settings. Adria will be teaching Sing Up! in Hertfordshire schools starting Autumn 2008.
Rev. David Jackson will be teaching the religious aspect of the choir as well as assisting Adria in teaching the music to the children.
