This is a large choir singing standard choral repertoire. Entry is by audition. Concerts take place in St Albans Cathedral.
The choir meets on Mondays at 8.00pm. Rehearsals are held in Verulam School, Brampton Road, St Albans.
The Choir aims to engage soloists and orchestras of the highest calibre, but also has a tradition of engaging young singers, many of whom have since developed international careers.
The choir is privileged to perform in St Albans Cathedral, as it has since its inception. In keeping with tradition, Andrew Lucas, the Abbey's Master of the Music, is the choir's music director.
Subscription is £105 per annum and £120 per annum.
The Choir is a member of Making Music (formerly known as the National Federation of Music Societies).
