Director of Music: David Boarder

Meets at Royston Parish Church.
Rehearsals on Tuesday 8.00pm-10.00pm (during school terms).

Formed in 1974, the choir sings a wide range of music, major and minor, serious and light. The Society aims to perform 4 concerts per year in Royston, sometimes joining with other choirs or groups. Also they try to take their music to one of the villages nearby.

Major works are presented, funds permitting, in November. In December there is a programme of seasonal music and they sing a selection of “Choral Classics” in Spring and Summer. One of these concerts is usually held outside of Royston.

Membership of the Society is about 50 and new singers are welcome. There are no auditions and you don't have to be an expert at reading music, although it does help.

Open rehearsals are held on the second Tuesday of each term, when you can try out the Society for free. If after three rehearsals you decide to join the fees are £28.00 per term (£20.00 concessions) or £80.00 per year (3 terms),

Visit their website or contact the Chair for more information.
