Hertfordshire County Youth Choir (SATB)

The County Youth Choir, conducted by Cathy Heller-Jones, welcomes male and female singers who have choral and/or singing experience and who have completed at least three years at secondary school.

Several projects are undertaken each year, including concerts, festivals and competitions and the choir performs in a variety of venues in Hertfordshire, London and abroad. In March 2007 they went on tour to Paris. The choir also participates in workshops with celebrated guest musicians. In the past these have included sessions with Terry Edwards from the Royal Opera House, Ken Burton, Britain's leading gospel musician and Ben Parry.

The choir rehearses during term time on Wednesday evenings (5.30pm to 7.30pm) at the Mid Herts Centre for Music and Arts in Hatfield. Entry is by audition and the upper age limit is 21.
