Established in 1960 the Lea Singers is a small chamber choir of 30 singers based in Harpenden. The choir sings both sacred and secular music and gives about 6 concerts a year, mainly in the home counties and close to Harpenden. The Choir also goes on tour once a year for either a long weekend in a cathedral city, or a longer period at a number of regional venues. European tours also take place every few years. The Choir has established a reputation for exciting and varied programmes under the current conductor, Madeleine Lovell.
New singers are always welcome though there is an audition.
