Directed by Annabel Sanders-Hewett with support from County staff, the County Recorder Ensemble provides high profile opportunities for advanced players. Repertoire from the 15th Century to the present day is explored on selected Sunday workshops days. There is also an annual 3 day residential course.
The ensemble has won acclaim at both national and local level and is keen to attract players of approximately Grade VII and above. Entry is by audition and applicants are welcome to attend a rehearsal prior to auditioning for the ensemble. The upper age limit is 21, there is also a junior section for players of grades 4-7.
