This group was formed in 1997.

It meets at The Quaker Meeting House, 12 Southdown Road, Harpenden, on the first Friday in every month (excluding August), 10.00am-12.00noon.

The annual programme includes speakers who are professional writers or work in the publishing industry. There are also workshops on different subjects such as novel writing, poetry, non-fiction, script writing and short stories. Every alternate month the members read a selection of their work aloud to receive constructive criticism from fellow members. Once or twice a year the group organise outings of interest to writers, eg. The Old Bailey; Dulwich College; Theatre visits.
