The group meets monthly on Fridays 8.00pm usually at St Michael's Centre, St Albans.
The main aim of the group is to study, write and read poetry. There is world-wide postal membership.
Activities and events include:
* workshops,
* themed poetry readings
* discussions
* visits by guest poets
* poetry competitions for members.
Day workshops (available for members only) are held in the homes of members, usually on Monday and Saturdays 11.00am-3.00pm, fortnightly. Members bring copies of work in progress to be read out and discussed. These occur within a 30 mile radius of St Albans.
In addition an Open Poetry Competition is held yearly.
Programmes of events and competitions are available on request.
Publications: John Cotton's Ten Liners, The Ver prize.
