The society meets in Friday evenings on an occasional basis.
The Lewis Carroll Society was founded to bring together people with an interest in Charles Dodgson (Lewis Carroll) to promote interest in his life and works - his books, photography, mathematics and logic.
It has an international membership of scholars, writers, collectors and students of all ages.
Past achievements include organising a series of major exhibitions, dedicating a memorial stone to Lewis Carroll in Westminster Abbey's Poets' Corner, overseeing the repair of Lewis Carroll's grave and hosting the First International Lewis Carroll Conference.
