Cercle Francais De Mid-Herts (Welwyn Garden City)

Meetings take place on Fridays, once a month at 7.45pm.

Venue: Welwyn Civic Centre, Prospect Place, Welwyn.

The aim of the group is to give people, who are conversant with and interested in the French language and culture, an opportunity to approach a wide area of subjects through conferences and informal conversation, outings, exhibitions and a chance to travel.

Conferences in French about some aspect of culture, followed by wine and cheese and a chance to chat; quiz or social evening. French songs and peotry. All members are encouraged to use their French and meet others over refreshments.

They also organise a number of 'cultural outings' each year, all with a french flavour, and a trip to France. Other outings are also available through the Alliance Francaise. For all ages.

Membership costs: £19.00 per annum, £17.00 concession, £10.00 students, or £3.00 per evening and £2.00 per evening students.

The Cercle is affiliated to the Alliance Francaise de Londres, which provides most of the speakers.
